[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text] In Episode #111, hosts, Dennis Wisco and Kelly Cruz, speak with self-proclaimed adrenaline junkie and top automotive consultant Candice Crane about recruitment strategy, changes in compensation in the industry, and more. This episode is brought to you from the 2019 December Women in Automotive Conference at the Omni Rancho Las Palmas Resort in Palm Springs, CA. The Women In Automotive Conference has been a hub of educational and empowerment opportunities for women pursuing their passion in automotive since 2015. Candice Crane launched her consulting business at the inaugural Women In Automotive Conference in 2015, after 15 years of experience in automotive sales and operations. As the Organizational Development Director of a large automotive group in the Midwest, Candice designed and led a transformational change and placed recent college graduates in critical roles within the automotive industry. This and other changes dramatically improved the customer experience and reduced employee turnover. Candice has extensive experience in Talent Management and is passionate about finding solutions for retention in high turnover environments. She completed her undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and holds an M.S. in Organizational Development from Mercer University. Dealerships are notoriously known for resisting change and maintaining certain traditions that dissuade women and younger folks from considering a career in automotive. Candice is passionate about engaging with the next generation of changemakers in automotive by rethinking how Millennials look for jobs in her recruitment strategy. In her 2015 white paper presented at the Women In Automotive Conference, Candice analyzes the factors that are important to Millennials in their job searches, like stability, and how these values can be applied to re-imagining compensation plans in the automotive industry. Tune in to this episode to hear how consultants like Candice are helping dealerships re-imagine their business models to make way for a new generation of changemakers to lead the mobility of people and goods of the future.
